go with something small to start off. a simple starters professional digital camer i guess you could say.
try a Canon powershot to start and then advance slowly or when you think you’ve got it to cameras such as the Canon EOS or Digital Rebel xTi SLR. When you get up to the SLR level, you will be able to interchange lenses to fit the shot you want to take.

I got the Sony Cybershot DSC-HX9V digital compact travel camera. In this video I unbox it and show you some detailed close-up shots of the camera itself. The macro facility is incredible – I just took some test shots, hand-held by the light of a single bulb and they came out really well. my budget is pretty tight. what’s the best i can find in the range of $ 100 to $ 250?

also, if you can recommend any quality comparison sites, similar to consumer reports, that would be great. i don’t have enough time to read pages and pages of reviews, so charts would be great.

i always preferred nikons when i taught film photography – canons weren’t too shabby, either. but, as you can see, i know next to nothing about digital cameras.

i’m disabled, and have lots of things to do to prepare for this project, so your input will be very much appreciated.

Although the Cokin system has been around for a long time and continues to enjoy popularity, IMO buying a filter to fit your lens is the best way to eliminate your problem.
